Shaping the Future of Contemporary Art

Parallel Contemporary Art championed emerging artistic voices and created meaningful platforms for international exposure. Through exhibitions, awards and strategic partnerships, it connected artists, galleries and collectors across continents, fostering dialogue between cultures and strengthening the global contemporary art landscape.

Who We Are

Founded by David and Serenella Ciclitira in 2009, Parallel Contemporary Art was established with a clear purpose: to nurture emerging talent and build lasting opportunities for artists and galleries worldwide. With a particular commitment to Asia’s dynamic art scene, PCA created ambitious programmes that brought contemporary Asian artists to international audiences.

Over more than a decade, PCA’s initiatives reached millions of visitors and supported artists at pivotal moments in their careers.

Through the Eye exhibitions, the Prudential Eye Awards, StART Art Fair and digital initiatives such as START Net, Parallel Contemporary Art built bridges between East and West, between emerging artists and established institutions, and between traditional exhibition models and technological advancement.

Its programmes provided visibility, credibility and opportunity for a new generation of artists, while engaging global audiences in contemporary artistic practice.
